I normally do not write many reviews, but I must write one here. My father was just discharged from this facility – he was in the rehab center post hospitalization – and it was nothing short of a nightmare. The level of care and responsiveness of the staff was horrifying. I honestly don’t have it in me to go into deep detail, but do NOT send your loved ones here, unless you’re fairly indifferent on whether or not you see them breathing again after.

The exterior of the facility seemed very welcoming, and the landscaping on the exterior appeared to be very well attended to. The interior seemed very spacious, especially in the recreation area, which was where I was most of the time. Overall, I feel that this is a good facility where the staff genuinely care about the residents. I would definitely say that it was a favorable environment, although I have not really visited any similar facilities anywhere before. The Lifecare Center of Jacksonville is a blessing to the community.

Fountains at Mill Cove didn’t really show us that much. There was no private room, which was what we were kind of hoping for and it seems like the staff was very, very busy. The physical therapy department is fabulous and that's why I came here. The food is basically for more of the older residents here who don't care what anything tastes like, but I'm used to fixing my own food. A lot of the stuff here is canned, but they do try.

She’s in rehab right now, but she will transition over to long-term care. She’s only been in there for a couple of weeks and as of now, the care seems very good. They’re helping her get a little bit more energy by exercising her and building some muscle, to help her move around and such. It looks like an older facility, but there are always people around.
